Lud has 28 years experience in business operations and
finance, and spent several years as a partner at
Windward Advisors. After devoting much of his time
at Windward working with The Gladstone Companies,
Gladstone asked Lud to join them full time to oversee
their portfolio of equity investments. He remains
an advisor to Windward. Prior to
Windward, Lud led a management-consulting firm he
co-founded in 1999 that specializes in operations
planning and product/customer mix optimization, while
also performing due diligence and general management
consulting services for equity investors. Prior to
founding Heads Up Systems, Lud was President of Alliance
Agronomics, an agriculture consulting and services firm
with nine locations in the mid-Atlantic region. Prior to
Alliance and subsequent to leading James River’s
Corporate Development Department, Lud was Vice President
and Group Executive of the Consumer Specialties Division
of James River, where he managed dramatic turnarounds in
three business units leading to his executing their
successful sale to a strategic buyer.

M.B.A. in the Executive Program at Virginia Commonwealth
University.
